Becoming a Project Officer in a Not for Profit, Layo Olumide on Mcbridge Chat season 2, episode 2

This video is about how the guest started her journey into the Not for Profit world.
Morolayo Olumide is a Programme Officer at a foremost development consultancy practice in
Nigeria where she leads efforts to identify and connect education innovators and donors. She
conducts monitoring and evaluation as well as validation exercises which provide evidence and data for policy development in various government and donor funded projects including the ongoing Universal Basic Education Funds Tracking programme.

She has established competencies in monitoring and evaluation, innovation and scale up support
and project management. She provides technical support for at the annual pan-African Education Innovation Summit focused on identifying and scaling education innovation and coordinates the
Recognition Awards series for the recognition of proven education innovations. She also facilitates
capacity development sessions for public and private sector officials in the organization’s learning academy.

She previously worked as a Support Staff at The Refugee Centre in South Africa where she facilitated
child rights and protection services, and education policy dialogues targeted at creating opportunities for refugees. She holds a Master’s degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.
