African VC predictions for 2023
In 2021, African startups raised over $4.5 billion. More money than startups on the continent had raised in the previous three years combined. Against this backdrop, many expected the trend to continue.
But a global venture capital crunch and supply chain challenges meant African startups had some difficulty raising capital in 2022. Techpoint Africa spoke to five African investors, who shared their assessments of 2022 and expectations for 2023.
