Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 21 February 2024, we will start today's video driving through smoke from veld fires along the R300 near the Cape Town International Airport in South Africa. Then we show how the Hangklip area and mountain look after the recent wildfires that swept through the area. It was also raining in the Kempton Park, Upington and on the N4 from Machadodorp to Waterval Boven in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa. We show the Gabriƫlskloof Wine Estate near Bot River. Stand next to the beach at Summerstrand in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). Two elephant bulls playing at the waterhole in the Kruger National Park. We show the Stoney Point Penguin Colony at Betty's Bay. We make a quick stop at Kleinmond and also Onrus Beach. We show again a quick view of the Gariep Dam from the Stijl Hotel and show more videos from around South Africa.
The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
Clear skies over the western interior, while the rest of the region will experience partly cloudy and hot to very hot weather with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms in the east. It will be pleasant and warm in the southern region, with light rain expected along the coastline. Anticipate extremely high fire danger conditions in the Beaufort West area in the Western Cape Province and in the Northern Cape Province. Anticipate a heat wave with consistently high temperatures in the Free State Province, the eastern parts of the Northern Cape Province, and the southern and western parts of the North-West, extending across the entire North-West Province from Wednesday to Saturday.
