Mutharika wins with 57% as Chakwera concedes with 33% in Malawi election

Former Malawi leader Peter Mutharika was declared the winner of the presidential election on Thursday. He won the election by a significant margin, securing 57% of the votes, while the current President, Lazarus Chakwera, received 33% and conceded defeat earlier that day.
