Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera has congratulated Democratic Progressive Party leader, Arthur Peter Mutharika, for securing victory in the elections.

In his address to the nation, Chakwera expressed gratitude to Malawians for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the country, saying he will forever remain thankful for their confidence and support.
