Now to Washington DC, where in an Arise News exclusive interview, we are hearing from a US government official for the first time speaking publicly to the Nigerian media about the US allegations of a Christian genocide in Nigeria. Congressman Bill Huizenga has been a primary voice supporting President Trump's designation of Nigeria as a country of particular concern and recently introduced a new resolution that's meant to "help end the killing of Christians in Nigeria". In this interview, Huizenga says he was "shocked" by President Trump's comments about a potential military invasion of Nigeria, and condemns the Nigerian government - saying he doesn't think officials here are taking the issue seriously enough.
